The weekly photo challenge last Friday asked to take a picture of something unique. My husband immediately said I should just take a picture of myself, because I’m so unique. 🙂
Instead I made my way to Temppeliaukio Church in Helsinki. The picture itself isn’t that unique (I’m still not a good photographer) but the church is pretty special. The interior of the rock-temple was excavated and built directly out of solid rock and it is bathed in natural light which enters through the glazed dome.
Because of the natural rock walls the church has unique acoustics and the church is used frequently as a concert venue.
