Last Saturday I ate one of the best meals I’ve ever had! We were spending time with some of my closest and dearest co-workers. We had been planning this night for weeks and the menu was mouth-watering from the start.
A really good friend of mine and a co-worker is a chef and she cooks the most tasty foods any human can possibly cook. She had pretty much decided what we were going to eat and how we were going to cook it. The rest of just did as she wanted and everything worked out perfect.
As a starter we had our own variation of toast skagen and it was great. Our version wasn’t as fancy as it porbably should have been, but it tasted good in my mouth and that’s all that matters.
Our main course was coeur de filet with red-wine sauce (that was brewed for hours) and it blew my mind. It blew all of our minds. We just sat there and ‘oohed’ and ‘aahed’, ’cause it was so good. The picture below don’t do the meal justice, it was just so flipping amazing!
On the side we had garlic potatoes (without the cream) and haricot verts wrapped in bacon. To make it all even better we made the ‘herbes-de-provence’-butter ourselves.
We had ice cream (we didin’t make it ourselves) with pecans for dessert but I forgot to take a picture of the bowl. This meal was the bomb! If you’d ask me to eat it again I would do so definitely do it!
I give the Coeur de Filet, Garlic Potatoes, Haricot Verts wrapped in Bacon, Red-wine Sauce, Herbes-de-Provence Butter, Shrimp Toast and the Ice Cream five thumbs up!
